Posting a certificate
Employers must post a copy of their Certificate of Ohio Workers' Compensation.

Once BWC processes a workers' compensation application, we issue a Certificate of Ohio Workers' Compensation (also called a certificate of coverage) from the effective date of coverage through the end of the policy year. We mail the certificate to the employer and then re-send one each year with the employer's premium installment schedule. The certificate is valid only if the employer pays premium and assessments, including installments, by the applicable due date.

As required by law, you must post a copy of your Certificate of Ohio Workers' Compensation in a highly visible location at each work site. You may also post this on an intranet site available to all employees. This certificate lets them know you have BWC workers' compensation coverage.

Reprinting a certificate

Once we issue a certificate of coverage, you and your authorized representatives have the ability to reprint a certificate of coverage as long as your policy is active.
