2020 Ohio Workers' Compensation Medical & Health Symposium

Join us for the latest information covering best practices in safe and effective medical care for injured workers. The symposium will feature exceptional speakers, exhibitors, and our BWC Medical & Health Division staff leading this unique, multi-disciplinary event that is offered at no cost.

Three educational opportunities provide free continuing education, and the chance to connect with medically-related exhibitors. 

1. Provider clinical education: May 1 – 2
Includes topics such as stories of triumph and recovery, aligning priorities of abilities to work and return to work, recognizing fraud, multidisciplinary treatment programs, the neurobiology of substance use disorder, identifying recovery risk factors, medical treatment and the legal system, trauma principles, and more. 

We have requested continuing education credits. 

2. Provider staff forum: May 1
This full day of education for provider office staff and administrators includes topics related to key workers’ compensation policies and procedures, and the day-to-day operations of workers’ compensation processes and workflows within a provider’s office or health-care system.

3. New! Pre-conference vocational rehabilitation workshop: April 30
The vocational workshop is 1 to 4:30 p.m.

The workshop is designed for vocational rehabilitation providers. It is an opportunity to partner in education with us on our mission to provide the best vocational rehabilitation and transitional work program services to Ohio’s injured workers.
It will included topics related to Ethical Decision Making and Resilience.

We have requested continuing education credits.
