Shawn Crosby

Shawn Crosby, who joined BWC as a front-line clerk in 1993, was appointed the Chief of Claims Services in October 2020. 

Crosby has held numerous positions at BWC over the years, including project manager, injury management supervisor, and trainer. She has played a critical role on several agency-wide projects that have shaped BWC into the world-class organization it is today.    

As claims chief, Shawn oversees claims operations and around 500 staff across the state to ensure compliance and consistency in injury management, settlement practices, and customer service. The staff manages approximately 610,000 open claims, including roughly 80,000 new claims each year.

Crosby has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Indiana Wesleyan University. She and her husband, DeAndre’, live in Cincinnati.
